Former Las Piñas City representative and now senatorial candidate Cynthia Villar trends in social media for his unwelcome statement about nurses in an electoral forum in television.
Villar was one of the guests of GMA News TV’s Pagsubok ng mga Kandidato which aired last February 23, 2013. In that forum, panelist Winnie Monsod asked Villar about her siding with nursing school in the issue of quality nursing education when she was still in the Congress.
Nurses online got irked when the lady senatoriable made these comments:
“Actually hindi naman kailangan ng nurse ay matapos ang BSN. Kasi itong ating mga nurses, gusto lang nilang maging room nurse, or sa America or other countries e ano lang sila, yung parang mag-aalaga. Hindi naman sila kailangan maging ganoon ka galing.”(Actually our nurses don’t have to finish BSN course. They just want to be a room nurse in America or other countries. They don’t have to be that good and skilled.)

Cynthia Villar, its me again. Sorry pero di ko na mapigilan sarili ko. Maybe I’m not speaking for all the nurses in the world but I bet at least for half of them. Putang ina ka! Yabang yabang mo, di kumo nasa congreso ka kaya mo na kaming maliitin. Kung ang nurse e “room nurse” lang, ano tawag sa inyo??
