DOH NDP 2017 Application updates

The Department of Health (DOH) will once again hire nurses under the Nurse Deployment Project (NDP) in the calendar year 2017. Check out the updates on submission of applications, schedule of qualifying exam and list of successful examinees below.

NDP is part of health department’s thrusts under the Human Resources for Health (HRH) Deployment Program, which deploys healthcare personnel to grassroots communities around the country.

The program also includes Universal Health Implementers, Dentist Deployment Project (DDP), Rural Health Midwives Placement Program (RHMPP), Medical Technologists Deployment Project (MTDP), and Public Health Associates Deployment Project (PHADP).

Senator Ralph Recto earlier revealed that DOH will hire fewer nurses for next year deployment compared to this year. Only 9,349 nurses will be hired for next year from 15,727 this 2016, or a drop of 6,368.

This maybe due to second round of salary increases under the Salary Standardization Law IV that will be implemented next year, according to Recto. DOH had to cut personnel to provide budget space for the increase.

This year, NDP nurses receive P26,878 monthly salary.
