Pearsonvue and NCSBN utilizes Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) method in administering these NCLEX tests. CAT merges existing computer technology with modern measurement theory to increase the efficiency of the testing process. In NCLEX test, different types of question formats are used, such as, multiple choice, select all that apply(SATA, multiple response), fill-in-the-blank, drag and drop and questions that uses images, charts, tables, sounds, etc. Regardless of these types, all items are scored as right or wrong with no partial credit.pearsonvue nclex

You can have at least 75 questions to answer, or as much as 265, depending on the computer’s assessment of your competency. There’s no exact percentage of passing, just pass or fail results.
