Salary and Benefits
Band 5 salary for Registered Nurses is the same in every NHS Trust throughout the UK. It may be advertised or packaged differently by some, but it is important to check these details carefully. The starting band 5 salary is £22,128 per year. For each year worked as a band 5 nurse, your salary will increase to the next increment on the scale.
Band 5 salary ranges from £22,128 – £28,746 basic per year
Point 16 £22,128, Point 17 £22,683, Point 18 £23,597, Point 19 £24,547, Point 20 £25,551, Point 21 £26,565, Point 22 £27,635, Point 23 £28,746
The Trust will also pay for:

Minimum 12 months registered practice*

Academic IELTS minimum score of 7.0 in each element* OR OET pass at Grade B in each element * (* Needed to be eligible to apply to the NMC in the UK to register as a nurse)
