Brighton and Sussex University Hospital UK hiring staff nurses, basic annual salary at P1.5 million

Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust is coming back in the Philippines to recruit more nurses through ASC Global Recruitment, the Philippines’ leading recruitment company for healthcare professionals to the United Kingdom.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) is an acute teaching Trust working across two main sites:
 Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton
 Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath
The Brighton campus includes the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and the Sussex Eye Hospital.

1. Medical Ward
2. Surgical Ward
3. Emergency Department
4. ICU/Critical Care

Client interviews will be on November 27-28 in Manila and November 30-December 1 in Cebu.

Salary and Benefits

Band 5 salary for Registered Nurses is the same in every NHS Trust throughout the UK. It may be advertised or packaged differently by some, but it is important to check these details carefully. The starting band 5 salary is £22,128 per year. For each year worked as a band 5 nurse, your salary will increase to the next increment on the scale.

Band 5 salary ranges from £22,128 – £28,746 basic per year
Point 16 £22,128, Point 17 £22,683, Point 18 £23,597, Point 19 £24,547, Point 20 £25,551, Point 21 £26,565, Point 22 £27,635, Point 23 £28,746

The Trust will also pay for:
 Tier 2 General Visa fee (plus priority processing fee if needed)
 Sponsorship Certificate  OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) (Philippine govt. requirement)
 Employers Insurance (Philippine govt. requirement)
 Your flight from Manila to London in the UK
 Airport Transfer (coach/other from UK airport to Trust location)
 Immigration Skills Charge
 Immigration Health Surcharge of £200 per year (total £600)
 OSCE (£992)
 OSCE retake(s), if required: Second take (full) = £992 – 100% advance and reclaim Second take (partial) = £496 – 100% advance and reclaim Third take (mandatory full) = £992 – 50% advance and reclaim  TB re-screening (for visa purposes prior to deployment)
 £100 per week cash advance (for first month)


 Nursing Degree
 Current PRC nursing license*
 Minimum 12 months registered practice*
 No more than 12 months out of practice
 Academic IELTS minimum score of 7.0 in each element* OR OET pass at Grade B in each element * (* Needed to be eligible to apply to the NMC in the UK to register as a nurse)

NOTE: The Trust will also consider Nurses who have achieved a minimum of two 7.0 scores and two 6.5 score in IELTS.
