The upcoming Visa Bulletin has been released by US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs, summarizing the immigrant numbers available for month of June 2015.
It’s is not good news for nurses in the Philippines as the cut-off date has retrogressed for 2 straight months. Employment Based Category 3 shows a cut-off date at January 1, 2005. It’s a 1 year and 6 month retrogression after May 2015 posted priority dates at July 1, 2007.
Here’s the EB3 Visa Bulletin:
|Employment- Based||All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed||CHINA – mainland born||INDIA||MEXICO||PHILIPPINES|
|Certain Religious Workers||C||C||C||C||C|
and Pilot Programs
Why the retrogression? The bulletin adds:
“Employment Third preference: This cut-off date had also been advanced very rapidly in an effort to generate sufficient demand to fully utilize all available numbers. The current rate of increase in demand has required the retrogression of this cut-off date for the month of May, in an attempt to hold number use within the annual limit for this preference category.”
