PNA, BON win in PRC Awards 2020

Professional Regulation Commission held its annual Awarding Ceremony for professionals, regulatory boards, and accredited organizations dubbed as PRC Awards 2020 on Thursday, December 17. Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) and Board of Nursing (BON) was declared as best in their respective categories.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose C. Reyes Jr., as the chief judge, announced that the Most Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization (APO) is the nursing’s PNA, which beat Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), Philippine Institute of Civil Enginers (PICE), and Philippine Medical Association (PMA) in the Category A.

For Professional Regulatory Boards, BON bested Boards of Foresters, Professional Teachers, Accountancy, and Dentistry to win the award as the Outstanding PRB of the Year, which was announced by no less than the PRC Chairman Teofilo S. Pilando.

PRC said that they are giving the award to Professional Regulatory Boards to inspire them to effectively and efficiently discharge their duties and responsibilities. They were adjudged based on their strict compliance with the master schedule of target dates of activities of the board exams, including the administration of Special Professional Licensure Board Examinations (SPLBE), if any, holding of regular meetings, prompt submission of reports, conduct of inspection and monitoring, among others.

PRC Awards is done annually in recognition of the excellence of the outstanding Filipino professionals. The event held online was led by the Commission with the participation of various Professional Regulatory Boards and the members of its respective Accredited Professional Organizations / Accredited Integrated Professional Organizations.
