The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is also given in a testing center in Manila, Philippines starting August 2007.
NCLEX is the nursing board exam for aspiring nurses in the United States. It is a computer adaptive test that assesses the competencies of nurses for US practice. The exam is being administered by Pearson Professional Testing.
In August 2007, NCSBN (the regulating body for state boards of nursing in US) approved the Philippines as one of the many testing locations worldwide.
“As the NCSBN continues to expand internationally, we are pleased to be able to offer nursing candidates in the Philippines the most consistent and secure testing experience possible,” said Robert Whelan, president of Pearson VUE.

Examinees coming from the Buendia LRT Station, take a Guadalupe-bound jeepney. Trident Tower is located along the Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia) between the RCBC Plaza and Planters Bank Building. Examinees coming from EDSA (Buendia MRT station) should take an LRT-Taft bound jeepney and alight in front of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR-BUENDIA) office which is in front of the Trident Tower.
Also, there are lots of Makati hotels and pension houses where examinees can book a short stay during their NCLEX test schedule.
